“Doing the actual work was
rarely the hard part.”
The story behind why I built SyntaxSuite — and the friction I couldn't stop thinking about.
It was everything around the work.
Hello everyone, I hope you're having a wonderful day. I'm Karan Gandhi — a software engineer and founder based in India.
Today, I want to share something very close to my heart. Not simply because I built it, but because it's a problem I've personally lived every day.
I've been a freelancer. I've run an agency. And I still work with clients today. So I've experienced this first-hand.
You spend your day doing the work. But somehow, the work isn't what takes up most of your day.
It was all the little unsaid things that kept slipping through the cracks:
“Did you get a chance to look at this?”
Scattered threads, forgotten promises, and unreturned emails across multiple inboxes.
“What did we agree on last time?”
Critical agreements trapped in WhatsApp voice notes or lost in call minutes.
“Where’s that proposal again?”
v3_final_final.pdf buried somewhere inside a nested Google Drive folder.
“Did they actually sign it?”
Cross-checking DocuSign, email attachments, and shared team folders.
“Is this one still pending?”
Cross-referencing spreadsheets with bank accounts to verify clearance.
“Should I follow up again?”
The uncomfortable friction of chasing payments without damaging relationships.
“Your own memory becomes another tool you have to manage.”
And honestly... that's exhausting.
Because every tool knows a small part of the story.
But nothing knows the whole story.
“The problem wasn't another tool. It was that no tool knew what the other was doing.”
What if your software
actually understood your business?
What if everything around a client stayed connected? Instead of losing conversations in email, deliverables in project trackers, and invoices in spreadsheets...
Relationship & history
Threads, chats & calls
Scope & estimates
Agreements & terms
Deliverables & progress
Billing & line items
Settlement & reconciliation

When context is connected, software doesn't have to guess what's happening. It already knows.
So we built SyntaxSuite.
A client operations platform built for agencies and service businesses.

SyntaxSuite — client operations, connected.
We're not trying to replace every tool you already use.
Your email can stay your email. Your accounting software can stay your accounting software. Your project tools can stay your project tools.
The tools can stay. The context between them shouldn't get lost.
And that is the operational layer we're building.
“We didn't want to replace everything. We just wanted the pieces to finally understand each other.”
We're still early. And that's intentional.
We're getting ready to launch SyntaxSuite, and we're opening it up to our first businesses.
We're not pretending we've figured everything out.
What we've built is the foundation. And now, I want to build the next part with the people who actually live these problems every single day.
What we want to understand and solve together:
Where you lose time.
The recurring micro-tasks and handoffs that eat up billable hours every single week.
What you still do manually.
Copy-pasting data between CRM, invoicing, project trackers, spreadsheets, and email.
Where context gets lost.
Decisions made on WhatsApp or calls that never make it to the delivery team.
What you have to remember.
The unspoken client commitments and pending follow-ups that keep you up at night.
Built for service businesses managing clients & everything around them:
Let's build it together.
“I've been on the other side of this problem.
And now I want to build something that makes that side of the business a little easier.”
If this sounds familiar, I'd love to show you what we're building.
